Soon after, the Shaw Electric Crane Company was born in Muskegon, Michigan. From
the outset, the Shaw Crane Company remained committed to pioneering new

Recently, the cornerstone of the original Shaw Crane
Company building was uncovered on the site. And at last report, Alton Shaw's
third crane, purchased by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1888, is still in use
